Description: Instituted in 1951. Formerly a "national key school," now a "211 Project" school. The 211 Project is aimed at forming a series of high quality higher educational institutions. These schools generally have the most prestige, the best students, and the most government funding. Also offers two or three year diploma programs; not an admissible level to graduate study. Usual admission requirements are completion of senior secondary school (12 years of education) and a national entrance examination.
