ABOUT THE CLINICAL INVESTIGATION PROGRAM
Clinical Investigation is a field in which teams of health care professionals, biostatisticians, and others,come together to imagine, design, and conduct clinical research, and then take discoveries to patient populations. Clinical research is evidence-based research in human or animal patient clinics. Through team-research experience and coursework, health professionals and other trainees are exposed to faculty from a variety of scientific disciplines.

Full time Ph.D. students and dual degree students are eligible for NIH funding. Students must obtain a faculty adviser, and write a detailed personal statement that demonstrates working knowledge of clinical and/or translational research. No rotations are offered.
